Why is Mattress Fabric important?

Have you ever had the feeling of waking up tired?

There’s a chance your mattress, specifically, its fabric is bothering you. A mattress consists of three layers: fabric layer, filling layer, and support layer. And the mattress fabric layer often seems to be ignored when putting on a bed. And yet, they directly influence our way of sleeping.

The fabric layer is the outermost layer of the mattress. Most people think that “we already put a bed sheet on the mattress, so the mattress is not in direct contact with our skin”. So they ignore the role of the mattress fabric.

Actually, people will excrete about 250ml of sweat every day during sleep. Even with a bed sheet, most of the sweat will be absorbed by the mattress. If the mattress fabric is not hygroscopic and breathable, it is easy to breed bacteria and mites.

So the good mattress fabric should be soft and comfortable, skin-friendly, and breathable. With the right materials, your mattress will keep you fresh when it’s hot, warm when it’s cold, and refreshed even when you’re sweating heavily.
